How Does Text Connect You With The world? To Relationships?
To me, text connects person to person and can help all kinds of relationships flourish. Whether text is described as a dialect or messaging, via social media, it brings people together. Text allows communication amongst the world's population. When I think of text, I associate it with English. English, along with other languages have given me the option to connect with people around me and has given me the opportunity to use my skills to reach my goals. I connect myself to the world by associating myself with those I have a lot in common with or with things that make up who I am. To me, gymnastics and firefighting make up who I am as a person and connect me to the world and the people around me. The sports I play and the peers I surround myself with ground me and create the person I grow to be. I feel grounded and linked to the world by being able to do what I love; gymnastics. Surrounding myself with family reminds me of how powerful love is. Emotions keep us connected to the world and to each other. When I think of myself, text, and the world, I automatically assume that they’re connected to social media. The internet plays a huge role in our lives, especially the newer generations. Social media allows us to use text and dialect to connect to the world which leads back to who we are as a person. Overall, having a well-balanced life creates healthy relationships with those around you, sports, and the world.
